General Athlete - Product (Remote)

Pastoral, a United Nations incubated regenerative livestock farming platform, seeks a highly motivated and talented Product General Athlete to join our small product development team in designing new features for our regenerative farming platform. As a Product 'General Athlete', you will work closely with our product director and a small team to develop innovative solutions that solve the unique pains of livestock farmers and ranchers in the US and UK.

As a Product General Athlete at Pastoral, the main objective is to be part of the product incubation team and work closely with the product director to design new product features for the regenerative farming platform. This includes conducting user research with farmers and ranchers to identify and quantify their pains, developing clear and concise product requirements, and collaborating with the engineering team to execute product roadmaps.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in agriculture, a deep understanding of the unique pains and challenges of livestock farmers and ranchers, strong analytical skills, and a passion for working with stakeholders and building relationships with users. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an agriculture specialist with some experience in product development to learn the Silicon Valley way of developing tangible and highly in-demand products in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Work with the product director to identify key stakeholders and conduct user research with farmers and ranchers to identify and quantify their pains.
• Analyze the data and insights gathered from user research to create stakeholder maps and develop a deep understanding of our users needs.
• Develop clear and concise product requirements for features that solve identified pains and meet the needs of our users.
• Collaborate with the product director, engineering team, and other stakeholders to define and execute product roadmaps.
• Iterate on product designs based on user feedback and market insights.
• Work with the product director to create product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and other documentation.

• At least 2 years of experience in agriculture, preferably with some experience in product development.
• A deep understanding of the unique pains and challenges of livestock farmers and ranchers.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of data and insights into clear, actionable product requirements.
• A passion for working with stakeholders and building relationships with users.
• An interest in learning and growing in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a full-time, very intense role for an initial 8 week incubation with an option to continue for the remainder of the year as the products and features are developed. This is an excellent opportunity for an agriculture specialist with some experience in product development to join a small but elite team of AgTech specialists, learning the Silicon Valley way of developing tangible and highly in-demand products.
